Submitting a Late Request (Bypass Codes)

Need a date sooner than the normal lead time? Your account manager can issue a one-time bypass code that lets you submit the request anyway — here's how to get one and where to enter it.

Written by Chris Ross

Sometimes you need an event sooner than the normal lead time allows — something slipped, or a date came up last-minute. When that happens, the portal will block the date as you try to submit, but you're not stuck: your account manager can give you a bypass code that lets you submit the request anyway.

Why a date gets blocked

When you submit a new event request, the portal checks there's enough lead time for us to build and launch your campaign. If your date is too soon, you'll see a message like:

"⛔ Too late to submit — webinar requests need at least 14 days' lead time, and this date is only 6 days out. Choose a later date, or enter a bypass code below."

So you have two choices: pick a later date, or use a bypass code for the date you want.

How to get a bypass code

Bypass codes are issued by us — they're not something you generate yourself. Just ask:

  • Use Chat with us in the portal, or email your account manager.

  • Tell us the event and the date you're trying to submit.

We'll send you a code that looks like LATE-XXXXXX.

How to use it

  1. Go to My Requests → + New Request and fill out your event as usual.

  2. When you reach your date and it's flagged as too soon, a field appears: "Have a bypass code from your account manager?"

  3. Paste your code there. The date switches to "🔓 Bypass code entered" and the Submit button unlocks.

  4. Submit your request as normal.

Good to know

  • A code is single-use and tied to your account. It covers one late request and expires in about 7 days — so ask for it when you're ready to submit, not far ahead of time.

  • It's for new event requests. The lead-time block happens when you submit a brand-new event whose date is close. If instead you're changing an event that's already on your My Requests list, that's a change request, not a new submission.

  • A bypass code unlocks the portal, not the calendar. Submitting is the first step — because the date is tight, we'll confirm whether we can realistically build and launch everything in time, and we may come back to you for quick approvals to keep things moving. The sooner you get it submitted, the better the odds.

Not sure how much lead time you need, or want a code now? See Campaign Statuses and Timelines, or just Chat with us and we'll sort it out.
