Sharing Your Webinar Replay

How to send someone the replay — why you can't forward a registrant's personal link on a live webinar, and the shareable replay page we build for automated webinars.

Written by Chris Ross

Someone missed your webinar, or a prospect asks if they can watch it again. What you can send them depends on whether the webinar was live or automated — they work differently, so start there.

Live webinars

After a live session, everyone who registered automatically gets a replay email with a link to watch it. So in most cases, the person asking already has one — it's worth having them check their inbox first.

You can't forward someone else's replay link. Those links are unique to each registrant — they identify that specific person — and Demio doesn't give you a way to send one to somebody new. So there's no button anywhere that says "send this person the replay."

To share the recording with someone who never registered, use the general replay link from Demio instead. It lives with the past session for that event, in the same place you'd go to download the recording — see Downloading Your Webinar Recording from Demio for how to get to the past session.

If you'd rather not hunt for it, just ask us in the chat — tell us which event and we'll send you the link, or the video file itself.

Automated webinars

This one is much easier. For automated webinars we build you a static replay page — a simple page with the webinar video on it and your call-to-action link underneath.

You can share that page with anyone. No registration, no unique links, nothing expires. Send it in an email, put it in a newsletter, hand it to a prospect.

Where to find it: go to My Requests, click the request for that webinar, and you'll see your links listed in the setup details on the request.

⚠️ There are no view stats for this page. Because it's a plain static page rather than a webinar session, we can't tell you who watched it, how many people opened it, or how far they got. If you need that kind of tracking, the call-to-action link is the thing to watch — bookings coming through it are your signal.

Who watched the replay?

Webinar type

Can you see who watched?

Live

Yes — replay views are tracked. See Seeing Who Attended and Who Watched the Replay.

Automated

No — the replay page is static, so there's nothing to report on.

If you want the video file

Sometimes a link isn't what you need — you want the actual file, to re-upload somewhere or keep on hand. You can download it yourself from Demio (see Downloading Your Webinar Recording from Demio), or ask us in the chat and we'll send you the MP4.
